Coopérative Agricole de Céréales and ZG-Raiffeisen: creation of a joint-venture on both sides of the Rhine
- Flash newsCoopérative Agricole de céréales (CAC) is a cooperative society involving 3523 cooperative members which are cereal and oilseeds producers located in the French department of Haut-Rhin (68) and Territoire de Belfort (90).
ZG-Raiffeisen for her part is a German cooperative society active in several business sectors and involving 4738 cooperative members located in the Land of Baden-Württemberg in Germany.
These two companies have just finalized the creation of a joint venture “E.C.U.: Europe Crop United” held equally between CAC and ZG, based in Strasbourg and whose purpose is the commercialization of cereals, particularly wheat and corn produced by CAC and ZG as well as other suppliers.
In the long run, E.C.U. aims at becoming a key player in the commercialization of cereals on both sides of the Rhine.
