Maria Bagate works in competition and distribution law alongside Dominique Heintz, co-founder of the firm. She acts for major French, German and international groups, particularly in the industrial, agricultural, distribution and services sectors, assisting them in all their contractual relations with their partners as well as in the regulatory aspects of French and European distribution, competition and consumer law.

She advises on both advisory (including compliance) and litigation matters, as well as on merger control cases.

In addition to her experience as a lawyer, she also worked for 3 years as an integrated lawyer in French and European competition and distribution law in the legal department of the automotive group P.S.A., now Stellantis.

She is a member of the Paris Bar since 2007, she has spent her entire legal career with the firm hw&h.
